2. Deposit and payments

2.1 We will quote you a total fee for your Course before you make your booking (the Fee). If you are staying at 135 All Saints Street, the Fee will include the cost of your accommodation.

2.2 To book your Course, you must make a single payment of 50% (the Deposit) of the Fee.

2.3 Once funds have cleared on the Deposit you will receive a booking confirmation, a receipt for your payment and a date by which all remaining payments (the Balance) must be made. The Balance is normally due six weeks before the Course starts.

2.4 You must pay the Balance in cleared funds by the due date. Any failure to pay it may be treated as a cancellation in which case you will forfeit the Deposit.

2.5 All payments must be made in British Pounds Sterling. You will pay any bank charges to us that are associated with your payment (such as charges from our bank for handling payments received from overseas, dishonoured cheques, bank transfers or any other such charges) no later than seven days after we have given you notice.

2.6 We will not send you reminders, so it is your responsibility to pay on time.

2.7 The Deposit and the Balance must be paid by the same person.

3. Method of Payment

3.1 All payments are payable to “A G Hendy.” Payments can be made by cheque, Visa direct debit, credit card or by on-line bank transfer. A 3% surcharge is payable if your payment is made by credit card. If you are sending a cheque, please include your booking dates and booking name on the reverse side. Post-dated cheques are not accepted.

3.2 If you are paying by credit or debit card, its details must be included on the Booking Form and the same credit or debit card must be used to pay both the Deposit and the Balance.

4. Changing your Course

If you wish to change your chosen Course, you may do so without forfeiting any monies you have paid us, provided that:-

4.1 you choose a different course or the same course on a different date;

4.2 you give us at least 30 day’s written notice; and

4.3 there is availability on your preferred course.

5. Cancellation

5.1 If you cancel your Course (that is, without booking another available course), we will refund you 80% of all the monies you have paid us, provided that you give us written notice at least 30 days before your Course start date.

5.2 If you cancel later than 30 days before your Course start date, no refund will be made.

5.3 We reserve the right to cancel your Course upon reasonable notice for any cause. If we cancel it, all monies paid in respect of the Fee will be refunded. Any monies paid to us will be returned if we are unable to offer a place on your Course.

5.4 When funding for a Course has been provided by a third party or funding scheme, we do not offer a refund. However a credit will be retained for a future course if cancellation is at least 30 days of the Course start date. Note that the credit so given may only be used by the funder of the Course.

5.5 If any student is considered by us to be unsuitable for any reason, we may require the student to leave at any time.

5.6 Once the Course has started, neither the Fee nor any portion of it can be refunded if classes are missed, whether that arises because of illness or for any other reason.

6. What we provide

6.1 We provide a fully equipped kitchen suitable for the Course.

6.2 You can expect the Course to be provided as advertised but we reserve the right to alter the timing, content or the curriculum of your Course and to substitute any teacher or instructor.
